Veriflights
The first comparison tool that shows only the airlines' official fares

Project overview
Goal
Build a comparison tool on airlines' official fares only, making the direct price transparently comparable against the traditional metasearch price.
Product
A flights vertical with no resellers, in production since March 2026 as a new channel alongside the main metasearch.
Audience
Travellers who choose the official channel for trust and to handle changes and refunds with a single point of contact. They want a comparison where baggage and conditions sit next to the fare, not at checkout.

Problems and constraints
- Design a new comparison paradigm (single-airline, no OTA) with no established reference UI patterns on the market, unlike classic comparison tools with standardised layouts.
- Redesign the card and results list to show baggage and fare conditions at a glance, normalising heterogeneous data across airlines in a tight space on mobile.

Solutions and interventions
- No detail page: all the information on the results page, one less click towards the exit.
- Flight details inside the itinerary card, expandable via a dropdown.
- Airline fares expanding below the card, scrollable, on tapping the CTA.
- Every fare states what it includes: cabin and hold baggage, seat selection, changes and refunds.
- Airline selector at the top of the results, ordered from the lowest fare, with the logo as a visual anchor.

Results 2026
+40%
Traffic against the baseline, during the summer peak.
- Veriflights launched a few months ago: the numbers are not consolidated yet.
- Daily traffic holds steady, with sharp peaks in high season.
- A sign the product holds up under high demand.
- Early data points to where to act in the next iterations: optimise the search flow for seasonal peaks, strengthen the use cases that generate more recurring sessions, monitor how the product holds as traffic grows.
